Ministry: i-61 Nicaragua Directors
Shelton and Rebecca Taguma (from Zimbabwe and Idaho, respectively) served as missionaries and Christian workers with the poor for 8 years in Africa before joining the i-61 team. In September 2013 they moved their family, including daughters, Ruth and Panashe, from Zimbabwe to Managua, where they now serve as Directors for i-61 Nicaragua. They believe that God intends the church to be his agent in the world and that he has commissioned Christians to care for and serve those he called ‘the least of these’. They are using their unique experience working with the extreme poor to help grow i-61 Nicaragua into a dynamic training center where the church is equipped to reach out in meaningful ways to those who need it most.
